Supply chain transparency and supplier management for ista
ista is a driver of innovation in data and process management for climate-friendly buildings and has been using the VERSO Supply Chain Hub since 2023 to achieve compliance with current and upcoming ESG requirements.
The challenge at ista
As part of the UN Global Compact network, ista is committed to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The company also aims to reduce its 2030 emissions to net zero by 2030. At the same time, the innovation driver is committed to sustainable business practices from a regulatory perspective. In order to be compliant with current and future ESG requirements such as the LkSG or the CSRD and to implement its own sustainability goals, ista needs one thing above all: transparency in the supply chain.
The solution
This marked the beginning of ista’s search for a holistic supply chain management partner, which the company found in VERSO. With the VERSO Supply Chain Hub, ista has been relying on an automated solution for ESG-compliant supplier management and supply chain transparency since 2023.
In order to comply with the LkSG and the due diligence obligations for the supply chain, the initial focus was on carrying out a risk analysis for the German site. The Supply Chain Hub was used to assess potential risks for the approximately 3,000 suppliers. Where necessary, ista recorded specific supplier data in the next step using standardized supplier assessments and extended location queries. The resulting overall risk was then automatically mapped. This gave ista an easy overview of the risk profiles of its suppliers.
The result
Today, ista has access to a solid database for LkSG reporting. The VERSO Supply Chain Hub enables ista to continuously assess risks and collaborate efficiently with suppliers in order to implement and monitor future measures. In addition, the platform contributes to compliance with future ESG requirements for the supply chain, in particular the CSRD. The improved supply chain transparency also helps ista to operate in accordance with the UN Global Compact.
Here’s what’s next
Following the successful deployment at the German site is now the VERSO Supply Chain Hub for all all other ista national companies rolled outrolled out.
