PPWR Preparation Made Systematic: How EgeSun Manages Supplier Data and Evidence Centrally

EgeSun has used the VERSO Supply Chain Hub for supplier and risk management since 2025. To prepare for PPWR, the company is now expanding its use in a targeted way: although packaging information exists in the ERP system, EgeSun lacked a solution for clear packaging data management, structured fulfillment of PPWR requirements, and a process for requesting missing information from suppliers. Challenge: Bringing PPWR, evidence, and supplier processes together

PPWR brings new requirements for packaging data, evidence, and documentation. For EgeSun, it was important not to handle these requirements separately from existing supplier processes, since much of the information relevant to PPWR sits exactly there: with suppliers, materials, certificates, and evidence.

EgeSun uses the VERSO Supply Chain Hub to capture PPWR-relevant information in a structured way and integrate it into existing supplier information. This includes packaging data, supplier queries, evidence, and preparation of documentation and declarations of conformity.

Missing information can be requested from suppliers in a targeted way. Responses, evidence, and updates are managed centrally. This allows the requirements to be integrated efficiently into existing processes and fulfilled precisely with a high degree of automation.
