- Module simplifies the determination of double materiality, reduces bureaucracy and saves resources in sustainability management
- Sustainability software pioneer VERSO launches AI-based platform for corporate sustainability, supply chain and climate management
Munich, 05.06.2024 – VERSO, the pioneer and leading provider of sustainability software for SMEs, introduces artificial intelligence for sustainability reporting and thus gives the starting signal for its completely revised AI-driven platform. With the new AI module for determining dual materiality, VERSO offers a solution that supports companies in making their reporting much more efficient in line with the EU’s Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD).
With more than 14 years of experience and in-depth in-house expertise resulting from over 500 materiality analyses, VERSO enables sustainability managers to realize significant time and cost savings. The AI application accesses an extensive database with over 60,000 benchmark data and provides a dashboard that enables a project overview, company assessments and detailed analyses. The platform thus reduces the previous manual and consulting-intensive effort to simple and fast queries that deliver results within minutes. This minimizes the bureaucratic effort for the CSRD and frees up resources for the implementation of sustainability measures.
The starting signal for the leading AI-driven sustainability platform
“We are proud and happy to launch our first AI-powered solution for CSRD-compliant determination of double materiality today. Sustainability is complex to implement – reporting should not be. With our first AI module, we are now giving the go-ahead to further develop VERSO into the leading AI-driven platform for sustainability management and accelerate the transformation towards sustainability in companies,” says Andreas Maslo, CEO and co-founder of VERSO.
Double materiality is the starting point for creating an effective sustainability report that complies with EU law. The result of the analysis determines which sustainability issues a company has a positive or negative influence on with its respective business activities.
Double materiality analysis according to CSRD made easy
VERSO’s AI-supported module assesses the relevance of a company’s sustainability impacts from both an inside-out perspective (e.g. how the company affects the environment) and an outside-in perspective (e.g. how environmental changes affect the company). VERSO’s user-friendly interface enables quick access to all relevant information and generates the impact materiality from over 60,000 benchmark data. The integration of financial topics is based on the IRO (Impact Risk & Opportunities) analysis and also maps existing customer risk management data in the module.
“VERSO’s AI-powered materiality analysis has changed the way we approach our first CSRD report. It enables us to get to the relevant topics quickly and efficiently without getting lost in unnecessary complexity,” says Alina Schneider, Head of Sustainability at the Public Cloud Group, about the new VERSO module for double materiality.
